Well, I was introduced as a "yankee" and they did have a bit of trouble with the spelling of my last name, but I still had a wonderful time at the Louisiana Book Festival back in November. They paired me with another woman writing about Vietnam--an anti-war activist and a military wife. They expected sparks, but we became fast friends. The video just came out. Take a look. Aside from the content I'm surprised to see how many of my sister's facial expressions I imitated. Or, was she always imitating me? It's daunting to see yourself on video.
